Cahow grew up in Connecticut and has ties to Maine. She is a Harvard graduate, and she is ready to hit the ice.
Caitlin won a bronze medal in the 2006 Olympic games in Turino. She says she's headed to Canada next month more prepared as a player.
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Defending champion Rafael Nadal is out of the Australian Open after retiring with an injured knee during his quarterfinal against Andy Murray.
No. 5-seeded Murray became the first British man in 25 years to reach the semifinals in Australia. Murray was leading No. 2-ranked Nadal 6-3, 7-6 (2), 3-0 on Tuesday night when the Spaniard said he could not continue.
Nadal needed a medical timeout during the second game of the third set for treatment on his right knee.

The top-ranked Federer, beaten in last year's final at Melbourne Park by Rafael Nadal, hasn't lost to Hewitt since the Australian beat him in a Davis Cup match in the same Rod Laver Arena in late 2003.

LONDON (AP) - The NFL has scrapped plans to play a second regular-season NFL game in Britain next season.
Last week, the league announced that the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos would play at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 31. That will mark the fourth straight season in which the NFL has played a regular-season game in the British capital.

(NECN: New Orleans, La.) - Revelers swarmed the streets of New Orleans following the Saints' 31-28 overtime victory in the NFC Championship, which secured the team's spot in Super Bowl XLIV.
New Orleans fans were put on edge at the end of regulation when Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, with the game tied 28-28, threw an interception in Saints territory with only seconds left. Had the pass gone incomplete, kicker Ryan Longwell would have had a crack at a game-winning 55-yard field goal.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Four-time MVP Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes and the Indianapolis Colts rallied from an 11-point, first-half deficit to beat the New York Jets 30-17 Sunday in the AFC championship game.
The Colts (15-2) are now headed back to Miami for the second time in four years and their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history.
"We talked about being patient against these guys," Manning said. "We knew it would be a four-quarter game. They have an excellent defense."
For the Colts, it was a measure of redemption.
(NECN) - The University of Connecticut Huskies overcame a 10-point second-half deficit to topple No. 1 Texas 88-74 on Saturday.
The Huskies were led by Jerome Dyson's career-high 32 points. UConn improved to 13-6 with the win, which came in the absence of head coach Jim Calhoun, who is on leave.
It was Texas' second straight loss after starting the season 17-0.
