Dartmouth receives $50 million, largest gift ever
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) - Dartmouth College has received its largest gift ever - $50 million - from an anonymous family to build a visual arts center.
The center will break ground next year to become an intellectual and cultural hub for the Ivy League school.
Dartmouth President James Wright says it's a spectacular gift from a family that has given long service to Dartmouth.
The visual arts will expand programs in Studio Art and Film and Media Studies by consolidating the departments in one building. It
