Six hurt, 42 homeless after Holyoke, Mass. apartment fire
HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) - Local American Red Cross officials are appealing for cash donations to help 15 families driven from their homes when flames roared through a Holyoke apartment building.
The fire Wednesday sent six people to hospitals, including two who were airlifted to Boston.
Executive Director Rick Lee of the Pioneer Valley chapter of the American Red Cross says money is needed buy food, clothing and shelter for the displaced residents. One local couple has offered a $10,000 challenge grant.
