Senate passes Obama’s landmark health care bill
(NECN: Brad Puffer) - In a rare Christmas Eve vote, the Senate approved a bill aimed at expanding health insurance coverage in America.
Not since 1895, has the Senate cast a Christmas Eve Vote. And as they did, the memory of the late Ted Kennedy loomed over this historic session.
60-39. 60 votes were just enough, and on Christmas Eve, the Senate passed their version of a landmark health care reform bill -- a bill that President Obama says will make health care affordable for the 30 million Americans without it.
